Week # 17

December 3 - 5, 2014

Second Rated

My Accomplishment/s:

          This week I had my rated demonstration, and two rated lesson with my critic teacher. In preparation for my rated demonstration I had my practice in the science class. I also help my teacher finalized the record of my students in preparation for their second quarter examination.I also had my post con with my supervising instructor for me to know what are my strenghts and weaknessess,what I need to develop and what I need to improve.

My Insight/s

       A soldier going to a battle without a loaded gun dies in a battle. A lawyer who doesn't know how to interpret the law losses the case ana a doctor who doesn't know how to practice his profession well kills a patient. Teaching without mastering your lesson break your students, breaking in a sense that it will make them dizzy inside the classroom, it nake them loss their enthusiasm to learn and the worst it make then want not to listen and cooperate to the teacher. This is what I realized while having my practice teaching with the fourth year students because honestly speaking all the subject matter presented for thw fourth students are all my weakness that I am trying to improve.

My Significant Experience/s
      This week includes the day of my rated demonstration wherein I considererd as the most important part if my practice teaching becauae I consider teaching the fourth year students as a challenge, and in preparation for the ratse demonstration my critic teacher asked us to have our practice in the science class that I guess is more challenging than handling the regular class because they are far good compared to the regular class that taugth me to double my effort in teaching the science high school.

My problem/s

     The probkems I encountered this week were first my lesson for the rated demonstration I cannot think od waysbon how to present to the class interestingly abd effectively given the fact that it was so long and boring. I did not do well in my rated demonstration according to my supervising instructor and lastly I did not yet finish my rates demonstration.

My Solution/s

     I asked help from my co majors and critic teacher methods and strategies on how to present the lesson effectively. I also searched for run activities telated o the topic.

My Goals for next week

   For next week I want to finish all mt rated demonatrations. I want finish all the things that I nees to finish for our requirenent.

Week # 16

November 24- 28, 2014
Feeling Worthless

My Accomplishment/s:

         This week I did not have any rated lesson plan because most of the subject matter scheduled for this week is more on performance based task like logo making, essay writing, poem writing and many more. My critic teacher decided to take over the class and she let us do the checking and evaluating of students' output. She asked us to choose the best in every category to represent their class during the competition that was held every lunch break. This week also we were able to fix our schedule for the rated demonstration with our Supervising Instructor. This give me the chance to know my schedule in preparation for the things I need to do before I will do my rated demonstration. I also had my pre-conference with my critic teacher for our rated demonstration which give me an idea and ways on how to improve my lesson for a better learning and teaching. I also help in facilitating and accompanying the student for every competition hold during their lunch break.

My Significant Experience/s:

       Going to school is quite stressful when you cannot teach, for almost two weeks I didn't had any rated demonstration I felt like its not worth the time I am attending my class. It feels like I am worthless sitting and talking around. I arrive at school 7 am in the morning and ends the day at 5 in the afternoon without even seeing my students and with experiences that I had I learned to use my time in a productive way. I learned to plan and prepare for things that I need to do. i learned to explore and make my day productive without me teaching, before when I had my classes, after every class I just relax and sleep, but now that I don't have any classes for me not to be bored I learned to organize, read and comprehend the subject matters in my course.

My Insight/s

          A teacher without the students is useless. This week I came to realize this statement given the fact that for almost two weeks I never entered in a classroom, and its quite depressing not only because there is no assurance that I cannot finish my rated demonstration but the idea that I was not growing as a future teacher. I felt useless and worthless being a bystander in the attic for almost two week, with this I realize that a teacher will never and can never be a teacher without her/his students.

My problem/s

        The problem I had this week is that I did not have any rated demonstration. I am not sure if I could still finish my rated demonstration. I  am also worried about my rated demonstration with my Supervising Instructor because I cannot think of a method and strategy on how to present my lesson wherein we were asked to teach the poem entitled Tao Te Ching with 81 stanza. and its quite hard and challenging on how to present one third of this stanzas in an hour with quality.

My Solution/s:

           We talked to our critic teacher, and asked her if we could facilitate the quiz of our students on December three in addition to our rated lesson and thankfully she allowed us. We also talked to her and suggest ways on how we could attain and finish the ten rated lessons. In our topic for the rated demonstration with our Supervising Instructor, we decided the student teacher of Mrs. Viernes to discuss ways and methods on to present our topic. It is a very good move because we were able to come up with which we think an effective way to do it.

My Goal/s for Next Week:

           For next week  the only thing I want is to deliver my rated lesson with my supervising instructor effectively. I want to leave a good impression as a teacher that my supervising instructor could be proud of, wherein if we could meet again after this semester she is able to remember me with that impression. One more I also want to add at least two rated lesson from my critic teacher.

Week # 15

November 10 - 14, 2014

Looking for Something Good to Do

My Accomplishment/s:

           This week I did not have any rated lesson because the school is celebrating the English month, and the subject has been affected. All the subject matter scheduled for this week was more of skill and performance based so our critic teacher opted to handle the class for the whole week but of course we were not left with nothing. Our critic teacher tasked us to check the Bio poem and essay of our students and recorded it further more after the checking we were asked to choose the best writer of the said activities to represent their class for the competition that was hold during their lunch break, wherein we were ask to facilitate and look over the students.

My Significant Experience/s

           This week it seems that most of us was experiencing the same scenario because of the line up of activities of the students. Its quite unusual this week because most of us were all in the attic, unlike with the past few weeks that you cannot even have a little chit chat with your table mate because we are so much busy doing and preparing for something. One afternoon while we are all so noisy having nonsense conversation, my co major proposed a game for us. It was originally planned to be the English group only wherein we prepared a tongue twister and spelling activity but then other majors volunteered to join so we had the activity per major and it turned out to be fun and fruitful because we had learn new vocabularies. We did not only had the spelling but other major also posed their question which the other major answered, and with these it was agreed upon that we should do that more often to serve as our informal review in preparation for the examinations.

My Insight/s:  

        Having a rated is not the only way to learn and be a productive student teacher sometimes it can also be in some other ways like having a group discussion about the subject matters that before having your rated demonstration. It could also be in a form of educational games and activities like the one that I stated above,with I realize that learning comes in many way its just up to us how to accept and deal it.

My Problem/s:

       The problem I had this week was that I was not able to teach any lesson, I just stayed in the attic doing what my critic teacher ask me to do, but of course a whole day was too long for checking. I was so useless and I felt so useless doing nothing. It also worries if I would be able to finish the ten lesson before the last day that we will be staying at the school.

My Solution/s:

       We always made sure that we ask our critic teacher for something else to do. We ask her what we could do while we wee not entering our class.During my free time I find time to talk to my co major and asked them their topic  and at least I ask questions and argue with them about their topic. In that way at least even though I am not teaching I am still learning and updated of what was happening. We also ask for lesson from our critic teacher, and at least she assured us we will be able to finish the ten rated demonstration.

My Goal/s for Next Week:

       For next week I wanted to have at least three rated demonstration, for me to stop worrying and thinking twice if I could still finish the ten rated demonstration. I'm also looking forward for our informal review that I may share and learn something relevant. I also set in my mind not to get late and absent for any reason. 

Week 14

November 10 - 15, 2014

Taking the challenge

My Accomplishment/s:

This week my accomplishments were first I had deliver two lessons got to work with my group mates for the making of our lessons. Second I worked with my co- English majors to plan  on how to decorate the stage for the English month culminating activity. Third I checked the assignments of my students. Last I record the outputs of my students, that includes their three seat works and three assignments, wherein we were task to pick the most beautiful output to be a representative for the competition.

My Insight/s:

The way you feel about yourself greatly affects your performance. I realize this this while having my rated lesson, every time I enter my class I felt like a I cannot deliver my lesson properly , it always feels like it was not enough specially when your dealing with More mature people, and every time I feel this way everything I do turned our to be really not enough.



My Significant experiences

What was good this week was I got to be more exposed to my students that give me the chance to be at ease and be comfortable with them that I badly needed to perform well ,with this I learned to also believe and be more confident that I can do it. I learn to adjust and accept my insecurities and start taking another challenge that would help me to grow.

My problems

The problem I had this week was I have more free time than time  for learning. I just taught for an hour twice in a week,after I am left idling with so much talking about anything, I always felt like I am not a productive student.

My solutions

We ask for a work and something else to do from our critic teacher. I discussed with my co students teacher about their. I asked questions and explanation about their topics for me to at least learn and be productive student even though I am not teaching.

My Goals for Next week

The only I want for next week is to be more productive, and deliver at least three lessons for me to have a productive and fruitful week.

Week # 13

November 3 - 7, 2013

Learning to adopt

My Accomplishment/s:

This week I started my first lesson with the 4- matiyaga, and it feels quite different handling the fourth from the grade seven that I handled in the public school. This time it requires lots of time, effort and mental abilities because the subject matter is more difficult than that of the grade seven, and I am so thankful that I was able to do it with satisfaction, with the two lessons that I demonstrated I can say that I did good according to my assessment and that I think is the best accomplishment I had during this week,furthermore I also checked and record the outoputs of my students. 

My Insight/s:

The attitudes of every students affect the strategies and methpds ofthe teacher. When I was with the fourth year students, I waa given the chance to compare them with the grade seven whwn it comes to their attitudesand learning styles and its quite different. The grade seven is more of the playful type and it affects the waOy thwy lopk at education so the strategies is more of a plyful type also so as to address their meeds through presemting what interests them,as of with the ffourth years it is more of a mature type so the aactivities and strategies is more of hpow would they develop mentally.

My Significant Experience/s:

This week I got to meet my new students, and I consisered this as my sgnificant ezperiences because this is another oppuetunity for me to learn ans develop my capabalities as a teacher and as aperson. It helped me tp appreciate thevalue of adaptation and being versaile.

My p4oblem/s:

The only problwem I encountered this week was being so nervour everytime I ahave a class. Ot affects the way I perform in fromt of my stufdents.

My solution

The only I could thonk of tp overcome this is to beliece in myself with all that I do.

Week # 12

October 27 - 31,2014

Another Environment

My Accomplishment/s

        This week was our first week in the Laboratory High School, for the first two days we were ask to fix our quarter in the attic. We were told to have our orientation on the first day but since the principal is busy with the coming of the PAASCU for the school accreditation we were not able to have our orientation, so what we did was to plan and discuss on what to do and in how to decorate our areas to have a comfortable working area. On the third was the day we had our orientation with the principal, during the orientation we were reminded of the things and the standard operating procedure that was relayed to us during our orientation when were observers. Right after the orientation we met the learning area coordinator for the assigning of critic teacher, and I was assigned under the supervision of Mrs. Viernes, furthermore during this week I also compiled all the requirement needed from our stay at the public school.

My Insigth/s:

         Moving from one place to another is one way of  learning on how to develop what you have. Staying at the public school is quite different from staying in the private school, but one thing is for sure there is always something you can have before the day  end. If I learn how to deal with different students with different attitudes and learning styles in the public school I learned how to control and be observant of the things and differences of the two school.

My Significant Experience/s

      This week we were able to have the orientation with principal and it is quite good because I was able to remember the thing that I need to remember while having my practicum with the students of the Laboratory High School in addition to that I  was given the chance to meet my my critic teacher and finally formally start our stay there.

My Problem/s:

           The problem I had this week was that my mind was not yet settled to stay and start with another environment and work with different administration.

My Solution/s:

            With this problem I had the thing that I did was to really put myself in the situation, to accept that there are thing you need to leave and there are thing you need to face despite of what you feel towards it.

My Goal/s for Next Week:

     The only thing I like to happen next week is to finally start to teach effectively my students and to learn from them.

Week 11

October 20 - 24, 2014

Last Days

My Accomplishment/s

          This week was our last week in the school and I am thankful that I was able to finish all the thirty lesson, and that is my best accomplishments this week other than that I also accomplish the three episodes for the field study six, and let it be signed by my critic teacher.  I was able also to asked my critic teacher signed my overall evaluation, summary of executed lesson, daily time card and then the survey needed for the field study. I was able to finish and gave back all the things my critic teacher ask me to do. I was able to say goodbye to my students. This week I was able to finish my extension in the library with Ma' am Lumaad, we made twenty improvised board, one manipulative big box and we donated books about idioms and quotations that completed the forty hours extension.

My Significant Experience/s

          It is our last day and it is just but proper to say goodbye to the person who guides me during my stay at Baguio City National High School and that is my critic teacher. Saying goodbye wasn't easy but we need to. During our last day my critic teacher talked to me and reminded me of the thing I need to remember and to do while still young, She always remind me of continuing my studies first before building a family. She shared thing I need to know when it comes to the the teaching profession, with that I was able to learn and realize many things that I could use when in the field.

My Insight/s

          Teaching is a great responsibility that needs great power, In teaching it is a matter of taking the challenge or turning back from your profession. If you think teaching is not your line better leave and find what you want. If teaching is your passion take the challenge and be an agent on promoting students potential.

My Problem/s

           The problem I had this week is how to make my students participate in the class discussion. This was my problem because the students just finished their exams and after this week it is their vacation. It's hard to get their attention and focus they already set their mind on their vocation.

My Solution/s

           What I did is that I just did my part as a teacher I provide what they need and did my part to make them participate and join the class discussion.

My Goal/s for next week:

         The only thing I want for next week is to have a good start in the laboratory High School. To start the day productively, to have the orientation, meet my critic teacher, and have my lessons right away,

         

Week # 10

October 13 - 17, 2014

Beginning of an End

My Accomplishment/s:

                This week I had five rated that gives me a total of twenty nine rated demonstration all in all. I am proud to say that I had achieve this with all the efforts and time I dedicated just to finish this things. I also helped my critic teacher in evaluating the output of the students. We work together to check all the outputs submitted by the students and make sure they all submitted the different output that is required for them to make. I also help my critic teacher to look after the students during the examination day 1. For the day two Ma'am Elvie and I were task to look after the students of seven "Masipag" because their adviser was absent and they need someone to look for them during the exams. After the exam I helped my critic teacher to administer the listening test of our students that were not able to take it during the given schedule furthermore we also accommodated students who were present for their completion. We administer the summative test, speaking test and the writing test for those who missed it. These was tiring but it's worth it I guess because students were given second chances.

My insight/s:

             Students can never appreciate something you do for them until they will know how important it is to them this is what I observe during the compilation day. Students were given second chances to complete all the things they need to complete, for them to pass but they just take it for granted. They just answered the test papers for the sake of just having something to submit but when he teacher says many are going to fail the begun reacting like they do not deserve to be failed.

My Significant Experience/s:

               This week is the examination week and completion week for the students. In here I had witness how hard the responsibilities the teachers need to take just to make the students be a better person.My critic teacher, though she says she would not give anymore time for the the students to complete but with a minute she change her mind and accommodated the students. In here I realized that no matter how hard we resist our students we as a teacher can never resist them. We always end up thinking of their sake given the fact that they don't appreciate the acts that you are doing for them. I also learned that in treating the student a teacher must have all the virtues that it takes to make and have a quality learning for the students, also when i comes to treating them you should learn to treat them wisely and fairly to avoid misconceptions.

My Problem/s:

            The problem I had this week is how to finish all my thirty lesson before the students will take their examination because I am not sure if I could have lessons just right after they take their exams.

My Solution/s:

             What I did was I talked to my critic teacher if we could start our lesson right away after the exams and she said yes.

My Goal/s for Next Week:

             To finish all the requirement I need to accomplish before we leave the school,and of course to be able to leave a good  learning and impression to my students, critic teacher ant to the school. 

Week # 9 

October 5 - 10, 2014
Fruitful effort

My Accomplishment/s

                 This week I had six rated demonstration that give me a total of twenty three lessons all in all. This achievement helps lighten the load I am carrying and that is what I consider the real accomplishment wherein I was able to see the fruits of my works, sleepless nights, time, love and effort. It is a manifestation that I have done something and an evidence that I can do what I thought I can not just before we were deployed. I also consider this as an achievement because every time I am looking and  counting all my rated demonstration I felt the pride I never felt about myself before. This week I also helped my critic teacher check the writing test of our students.

My Insight/s:

                 Teaching has no single formula, this is what i realize this week, because this week I was given the opportunity to handle all the four sections.Four sections with four different classroom atmosphere and learning styles. Four sections with different attitudes and interest. In here I realize that every learning styles, learning atmosphere, learning attitudes needs different treatment.   

My Significant Experience/s:

                 This I was able to experience to handle the four different section under the care of my critic teacher, with this I was able to witness different kind of learners. I was able to differentiate the kind of students from the other class to the other. I was able to interact with different kind of students with different learning styles and interacting with these different students helps me realize and discover that teaching indeed has no single formula but instead teaching is a challenge of how you will teach students with different learning styles. Handling these four section help me face and survive the challenge. Survive in a sense that I was able to learn that every learning style needs suitable teaching methods and strategies.

My Problem/s:

   

               The problem I had this week I had to rush hings for my rated demonstration that the quality of my work is even sacrifice, I can not think of strategies that I could give to my students for a better learning.

My Solution/S:

                The only solution I had in mind is to search and ask my colleagues for an activity in lined with my topic that they know.

My Goals for next week:

               The only thing i want for next week is to finish all the thirty lesson so that I could accomplish other requirements that I need to do.

Week # 8

September 30 - October 4, 2014

My Accomplishment/s:

         This week I submitted my 7th weekly journal hence I also had six rated demonstration, and I consider this as my greatest accomplishment since first day of school. I 'd been looking forward since the first day to complete the whole week and I was thankful that I was given the chance to have not only five but six demonstration. It was quite hard to take that two lessons for a day but it was fulfilling, I got to assess my capability in doing things beyond my expectation, because thinking of it I thought I couldn't do two lesson for a day, I thought it is hard to do it but, it turned out that I can do it. For other requirements I helped my critic teacher in checking the travelogue and writing exercises of my students.  

My Significant Experience/s:

        I had a bad day this week because i had committed a grave sin and, that was I wasn't able to correct the examples given by my students because I did not know that was wrong with these experience i learned many things first it is to review study my lesson thoroughly. Second to be always cautious to the answer and examples given by my students. Third to make sure that everything that i will present is correct and lastly to read more references and validate the information I' d read from a source.

My Insight/s:

   

         As a person it is normal for us to make mistake because we were not created perfectly, but this mistakes should no stay long there should be allotted time for you to correct it, and as a teacher it is normal too but it takes a lot of guts for you do correct it. Teacher should not take any chance of committing mistakes especially on the concepts that were presented to the students if he doesn't want to be disturbed mentally.

My Problem/s:

       My problem and I think the worst problem I ever had since week one was that during my lesson with my first class I wasn't able to correct the example given by my students not only that I did not correct but the worst thing was that I even accepted the example and take it as a correct concept. I didn't recognize it and put my students into a bad situation, but at least I was given the to correct it and I will make sure that i will do my best to make it clear with them.

My Solution/s:

        The solution that I considered regarding this was to study my subject matter thoroughly and to as much materials and reference as needed. I should not dwell with only one materials.

My Goals for Next Week

        I need to fix the misconception I had with my students and I planned to surpass the lessons that I had this week.

Week # 7
September 22 - 26, 2014

Rated

My accomplishment/s:

       This week I had a lot of accomplishment these were my sixth weekly journal, four rated lesson including my rated lesson with my supervising Instructor, I helped my teacher in checking the summative of the students as well as their travelogue. I had also my pre-conference with my supervising instructor for my rated lesson.

My Significant Experience/s:

       This week is the week for me because I had my rated demonstration with my supervising instructor, and it fells different with the other week. For my rated lesson with my critic teacher I felt the nervousness an hour before my demonstration but with my supervising instructor it is the day before and until the time of my demonstration. It is funny because I am just going to teach like what I did the previous meetings with my students and yet I am feeling like it was still my first time, maybe that's the impact of having your supervising instructor observing you, but still I am thankful that I was able to deliver my lesson according to how I planned it.

My Insight/s

      This day we had a talk me, my critic teacher, one of my student and his father about a certain matter that happened, during our conversation I got to observe this student and what I noticed is that when he was with his father he seems to be the most obedient child. But when we are inside the room he is the worst student. I also came to know that he is not living with his parents, he have a father but not with him and the mother is out of the picture, with this I got to understood the child's behavior and realized and accepted the fact that in every students actions lies a different hard experiences and set ups that made them act the way they do.

My Problem/s:

      The only problem I had this week was is on how to have a smooth demonstration. When I only I had a day to prepare for my demonstration. I have my lesson, Wednesday and I will demonstrate it on Thursday given that span of time I hard time thinking of ways I could do to deliver it well. Another thing is that I couldn't really think of something because I am so nervous I couldn't make my senses work.

My Solution/s:

      I guess with this kind of problem the only solution I could think of is to believe in myself and the thing I need to do , for me to be prepared and at ease with the things i need to do.

My Goal/s for next Week:

      For next week I am Aiming for a five rated and well demonstrated lessons.

Week # 6

September 2 - 5, 2014

My First

My Accomplishment/s:

         This weeks I  submitted my weekly journal number two together with my minute notebook, furthermore, I also managed to go to school early and avoided being late. In September 2, 2014 I wrote my first lesson plan about the story How My Brother Leon Brought home a wife and let it be check by my critic teacher the following day September 3, 2014, by September 4, 2014 I executed my lesson. After my execution my critic teacher and I had our post conference wherein my critic teacher share to me the things that I need to improve and the things that I'm good at that helped me in improving my ways for the next lesson.I also did my second lesson plan and let my critic teacher check before I execute it during the last day of the week September 5, 2014, wherein she gave suggestions and ways on will I improve my lesson plan to cater to needs of the students.

My Significant Experience/s:

         This week I was given the opportunity to deliver my first lesson in two sections consecutively.  I was given the chance to experience how it feels to become a teacher, and it feels good knowing you did what your capable of for the students.I got to understand how students feel when in front of a teacher during recitation considering what I am as a student before not only that I also got to understand how some of my teacher felt before when students were not listening, disrespectful and arrogant portraying that they know everything that you are talking about.

My Insight/s

       Teaching is a passion not a profession. Teaching is not something that you do because you are just required to do so, not just because you are being paid for doing so. It is more of doing because you love to do it, it's something that you really wanted to do, with these as a teacher you need to forget about yourself and always think about your students. How will you teach them. How will you make them value the importance of education and how can you promote their potential to become agent of change.

My Problem/s:

     The problems I encountered this week was I can't handle my students properly. I had a hard time of getting and maintaining their attention during class discussion. I can't find ways to let them participate and cooperate with me. I also encountered students who are arrogant showing me that I'm just a practice teacher. Students who doesn't know how to be a human. Students who doesn't want to listen because they they know what your talking about. Students who are impossible.  

My Solution/s:

    I guess the best thing to do is to continue do my best regardless of what they say and do. To make and create activities that would help them appreciate our lesson and to continue showing them that I am worthy of their time through making my lesson well.

My Goal/s for Next Week:

    For next week I intend to execute at least 3 - 4 lessons as possible. I plan to increase and motivate my students to participate with me during class discussion.

Week # 5

Reason for failures

My Accomplishment/s:

          This week the first thing I accomplished was my weekly journal # 5, I submitted it on time to my coordinator. For my rated lesson, I was able to execute three lessons, one for Tuesday, one for Thursday and one for Friday. For Wednesday I did not have my lesson because our class had their orientation regarding the proper usage of the library. Instead of having class I was asked by my critic teacher to accompany our students to go to the library. I also supervised them to make sure that they will listen and participate to the orientation and I was also tasked by my critic teacher to supervised the last class for Friday for their summative test because she needed to attend into some urgent matters.Lastly I helped my critic teacher in preparing questionnaire for the grammar quiz bee.

My Insight/s:

          Everything about teaching is interconnected from the time you plan to your execution and after your execution.If one part goes wrong everything will be affected. The plans that you had will be ruined and same with your execution and worse students might not learn something from you.

My Significant Experience/s:

          This week we celebrated  the teachers' day, and I had receive a rose and a letter from my students. I consider this significant because I can say that these gifts is their way of saying that they learn something from me that they appreciated the things that I am saying and teaching to them. 

My Problem/s

       The problems that I encountered this week were first I had a very disrespectful student that even the word disrespectful is not enough to describe him. He doesn't want to listen. He always do things on his own without even considering how his teacher will feel about it. I can say that he is the worst person I've ever meet. Next was during one of my class I forgot to bring with me my chalk box and I don't have something to use to write on the board. The entire thing that I planned for that demonstration was ruined. Though I managed to execute still my lesson I felt like I failed in teaching my students. I know if in only if I was able to brought all the things that I needed I would have had a better demonstration.

My solution/s:

         The only option I could think of is to talk to my critic teacher about the matter and let her handle the disciplinary action for that student with regard to my rated lesson I need to always prepare and check the things that I need to bring for my lesson to avoid the same scenario to happen.

         Next week my goal is to execute five lesson with quality. I like that everything that I do will in accordance to my liking and standard. All the things that I am going to do should pass my assessment.

Week # 4
September 8 - 12, 2014

Making  up 

My Accomplishment/s:

        This week the first thing I did was to submit my week number 3 journal, furthermore for the succeeding days I worked on my lessons and I was able to have four rated lesson and I can say that I did good according to my assessment and standard except for my lesson for Wednesday. I had the demonstration for Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, and Friday. For Thursday I did not have a lesson because we were called by our supervising instructors for a general assembly wherein we were given the chance to ask what we need to ask and to share the things the we experienced in our assigned school. Not only these I also made a list of words with its meaning and examples that was used during the spelling bee competition and helped my city in facilitating the contestants during the said event.

My Significant Experience/s:

         For My Wednesday lesson I felt like I did not do well so I promised myself to do better for my next. I really prepared and evaluated things that I could do to fill the gaps of what I did the previous meeting. I am thankful that I was able to experienced this, and at the same time I was able to at least make - up for it.

My Insight/s:

          With the things that i had this week I came to realize that a teacher's job is to educate the child with the knowledge, skills and capabilities that she have. It is not right for a teacher to enter in a classroom without holding something to give for the students.

     
My problem/s:
 
         The problem I had this week was that I felt and think that I wasn't able to execute my lesson for Wednesday because I am still confuse of the subject matter that I taught, its feels like I went into a battle empty handed. Though the students said that they understood my lesson when I asked them, I am not still satisfied and I keep on asking myself if  they really learn something from the discussion.

     
My Solution/s:

         With this problem I had I learned that in everything that you do you should be prepared and loaded. With this feeling that I had towards my Wednesday lesson I learned that a teacher is the source of everything that a student needs. Therefore to be able to educate the students and not to be confused if the students learn or not. I should prepare and study my subject matter.        Next week my goal is to have five rated lesson and to execute each properly in a way that my students could understand.

Week # 3

Teachers are precious gifts

My accomplishments/s:

    This week was given to me by my critic teacher as an observation week. She ask me to observe the kind of student that I am going to teach.Their behavior, attitudes towards the teachers and their learning styles for me to have an idea of what kind of students and think of possible ways on how to handle them.

My Significant Experiences/s:

 This week I observe the different sections handled by my Critic Teacher for four days. I got to interact with different types of students.I learned the different kinds of students I need to handle during my stay at their school and lastly I got to know more and more my Critic teacher.I  was given the chance to at least know them a little before I start to teach them. I got to think of methods and ways I could do to workout things with them.

My Insight/s:

Teaching is not an easy profession, becoming a teacher requires a lot of patience, kindness, wit, gift and talent. It takes a lot of guts for you to be able to do it. You need to teach, interact, deal and understand people whom you do not know likewise you need to sacrifice what you have to teach them, teach them and give what you have and get cuss, hatred disrespect and the like in return instead of gratitude and respect. 

My Problem/s:

Observing those different kinds of students brought so much worry in me. I doubted my capability of becoming a good teacher. It feared me that I might no be able to delivered my lesson properly with the kind of attitude that they have more over witnessing a student cuss my Critic Teacher scared me I couldn't ignore the fact that he might also do that to me or he might do worst things no one could ever imagine. It worries me that I might not handle properly what he could do considering I haven't encountered someone with the same attitude as him before.

Solution/s:

Maybe i need to learn to trust what i have and develop what I need to develop in becoming a good teacher.I guess i just need to do everything within my power to deal and teach this students rightfully. I need to stop worrying and start thinking of ways so I could to help them grow as a person and as a student. I need to widen my understanding of the nature of the students I need to deal with.

Goals for Next Week:

My goals for next is to be able to start to demonstrate and lessen the things that worry me. I also need to have at least three or four rated demonstration.
